Hi,
I am attempting to interface my Yosemitech Y4000 with a mayfly, using an rs485-TTL adapter, but I am having no luck. I have tested the adapter with another RS-485 device and successfully transmitted and received data. Because of this I wanted to see if there was any option to interface the Y4000 directly with a PC, that way I can check…[Read more]

Current status of my problem; I am using the 0.5 Mayfly board and have changed to appropite line from 18 to -1 and I get compile errors related to NeosWSerial.ccp. I have updated all my libraries and still get the same error.
If I comment out the lib entry for NeoSWSerial the sketch compiles but when loaded the console…[Read more]

We haven’t used that sensor at Stroud, but after looking at the spec sheet, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with one of our newer Mayfly models that generates 12v. You’ll need a Modbus interface if you want to use that protocol, so either building your own or using the one we’ll be releasing soon. For SDI-12, it should work directly connected t…[Read more]

I am looking for some feedback from the EnviroDIY community on a new sensor to try with the Mayfly — Keller – Series 36XiW-CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth). I have attached the spec sheet from Keller.

@zeke-holloman communications – peer2peer – is a deep subject.
Many years ago I wrote the code for a comms stack to use the 9bit UART to poll an array of processors. In the end it was 2people for 18months to get it working reliably. So its not trivial, but i had a fantastic time with…[Read more]

The Mayfly board is not a I2C slave device so it does not have an I2C address. The easiest way to transfer data between Mayfly boards would be to use UART like serial or NewSoftSerial.

@srgdamiano @shicks @neilh20
Hi there! Does the Mayfly have an I2C address associated with it? I’m trying to use Wire.h to transmit data between two Mayflys. If it does, where could I find it, for both the 0.5b and the 1.0. Thank you!

@shicks just wondering what the expected standard charge is for the Mayfly 1.0
I’m seeing via a USB Meter that with a USB-C charger that delivers 5.0V (and 2A capable) with a 4.4A LiIon battery at 3.8V that it is only charged 0.13-0.2A. Previously Mayfly 0.5 this was the expected 0.5A
