All content on this website is licensed as Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC-BY-SA) copyright. According to Creative Commons: “This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. This license is often compared to “copyleft” free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. This is the license used by Wikipedia, and is recommended for materials that would benefit from incorporating content from Wikipedia and similarly licensed projects.” Read the CC-BY-SA Legal Code.

Default Hardware License

Hardware designs shared on this website are released, unless otherwise indicated, under the CERN Open Hardware License 1.2. According to Open Hardware Repository: “The CERN–OHL is to hardware what the General Public Licence (GPL) is to software. It defines the conditions under which a licensee will be able to use or modify the licensed material. The concept of ‘open-source hardware’ or ‘open hardware’ is not yet as well known or widespread as the free software or open-source software concept. However, it shares the same principles: anyone should be able to see the source (the design documentation in case of hardware), study it, modify it and share it.

Alternate Licenses Are Allowed
