Have you been to the station to clean the sensor lately? Also, I’d recommend replacing the logger’s battery with a fully-charged one. Sometimes when those battery packs are starting to fail (from corrosion on the terminals under the plastic wrapper) they will generate noise which can sometimes affect the sensor readings.

Beginning two weeks ago (September 2) my EnviroDIY station (VCRP1) equipped with a METER CTD sensor began displaying troughs and flickers in recorded stream depth that don’t correspond to true changes in depth as actually measured. Weirdly, the troughs and flickers occur at precisely the same times in almost precisely the same patterns on a…[Read more]
Shannon Hicks replied to the topic Gaps in my data in the forum Monitor My Watershed 1 months, 2 weeks ago
No, the Mayfly datalogger doesn’t know if any data is missing from the website, it just tries to send it every 5, 10, or 15 minutes (or whatever interval it is programmed for). If the data doesn’t get to the website database, the logger won’t know, and doesn’t send any old data to fill in the gaps. You’ll need to visit the station and manually…[Read more]

Hello,
We set this Mayfly up in 2022 and have had relatively no issue with it but now as I look at the website it shows gaps in my data. I checked everything out in person and there seems to be no issue with the equipment. I am guessing that maybe it is related to the cellphone service? When these gaps in data happen, does the Mayfly adjust and…[Read more]

I’ve been swamped lately, so I’m behind on sensor requests.
<div>
<div>@fionasouthwell Are you sure you’re measuring *specific conductance*? From what I know of the Atlas sensors, they don’t measure specific conductance, they measure conductivity. I just very quickly skimmed their latest manual and it doesn’t look like that’s changed. To get…[Read more]

Hi Fiona, @srgdamiano may be able to help you with this. There is also a pathway within the Monitor My Watershed site itself for making sensor requests. I’ll describe it here in case it is also helpful to others.
When adding a new sensor to a site on MonitorMW, if you don’t see what you need in the Add New Sensor modal window, scroll to the…[Read more]

Fiona started the topic Atlas Scientific Returning -9999 Values After One Good Reading in the forum Environmental Sensors 2 months, 1 weeks ago
Hi All,
I’ve seen this discussed on the forums before but it doesn’t seem to have been solved. I have a recurring issue with the Atlas Scientific combination industrial pH/temperature sensor where it returns one good temperature value and then all subsequent values return as -9999. It will always return one good reading on startup. The other…[Read more]
Braedon replied to the topic Controlling 12-volt heaters with a power relay in the forum Infrastructure and Equipment 2 months, 1 weeks ago
@shicks I’m also going to be adding an air temperature sensor that has a 12-volt fan in the radiation shield. The fan can run at lower power by using pulse width modulation. I’m wondering if there might be a way to accomplish this with the power relay, since the fan will have to be connected directly to the battery like the heaters on my other…[Read more]
