We purchased NimbeLink’s Verizon SIMs, and we activate them and purchase service directly from NimbeLink, so never had to deal with Verizon itself.
I did contact SIMCom (maker of the modem chip on the LTEBee modems) about Verizon certification, and they said they were still awaiting it. Then they notified me once they received Verizon…[Read more]

Hi All. I updated my MMW password after the V0.15 release. Now I am not seeing most of my sites under “My Sites”. Perhaps I have multiple profiles somehow and I’ve connected to an old one in the process of updating my password? The only sites are see are two from PA that were deployed in 2017 I think. Can someone please look into that for me? Thanks!
Shannon Hicks replied to the topic SDI-12 sensor power supply – is 12 V needed? in the forum Environmental Sensors 1 years, 6 months ago
SDI-12 sensors usually use 12 volts for sensor excitation because that’s what the specification for the protocol dictates. Fun fact: the “12” part of “SDI-12” does not refer to the voltage, but rather the baud rate, so the name actually means “serial-digital interface at 1200 baud”). Back in the days when the protocol was first being used, mo…[Read more]

Matt, I did see that thread about the SIM and APN details, and have no doubt that the modems will work. The trouble is that our Verizon rep (as of January 2023) does not see the EnviroDIY modem IMEI numbers in their device database, therefore they will not “activate” them on our plan. We have SIM cards operating on the Verizon network now using…[Read more]

Usually SDI-12 sensors use 12 V power supply. In SDI-12 specification there is stated that logger should provide voltage in range 9.6 V to 16 V. I have checked sensors I commonly use (mostly Meter) and they all work with power supply 5 V or even lower. I would say using lower power supply volatage for sensors should also lead to more efficiency…[Read more]

Thanks for looking into it.
I’m in the UK for my Uncle who had a stroke, and I took off very quickly from California, and not likely to get back before the end of May after his funeral. I haven’t brought any tools to see what the response are from the server.
It seems very unlikely that 5 systems would all stop transmitting by themselves. My…[Read more]

@neilh20, We just looked at the database and the server logs and found the following.
<p style=”font-weight: 400;”>Only 5 sampling features stopped reporting new data on April 12.</p>

Thanks for reporting, @neilh2O. I’ve verified that your sites are still not updating and notified the Monitor My Watershed development team. I’ll let you know when I hear back.

METER replied:
I am so sorry. That error means that there is some kind of error with the calibration of the sensor. I will have one of my colleagues reach out to you with a return material authorization (RMA) to have that instrument brought in to have the issue fixed.
