Can you email me your code at mayfly@envirodiy.org so I can take a look at it? How many other adafruit ADC boards do you have attached to the Mayfly in question and are they the 12-bit or 16-bit versions? The Mayfly’s ADC is permanently set to 0x48. What is the typical and maximum voltages you should see on the sensor?

The two sensor models perform exactly the same. We’ve used a couple in the field with existing loggers when replacing some old broken Cyclops 7f sensors. All we did was swap the sensors and redo the calibration and edit the appropriate 2 lines in the code for the voltage measured in the standard and the blank (nanopure water). The C-FLUOR se…[Read more]

<div>Hi Shannon,</div>
<div></div>
<div>I ordered a C-FLOUR not realizing that the modular sensor library only has compatibility with the Cyclops-7F, even though you mentioned the Cyclops in your earlier post.</div>

<div>Based on what a rep has told me, Turner is starting to phase out their Cyclops-7F sensors and replacing them with…[Read more]

I am having some difficulty getting consistent results using the Mayfly’s auxiliary 16-bit ADC. I have multiple stations set up that use the same code and wiring, but for some reason the measurements being recorded are not behaving as I would expect. For context, I am using Apogee’s shortwave pyranometers (both upward and downward looking) on the…[Read more]

Hi, has anyone used a Seametrics CT2X CTD sensor with a EnviroDIY datalogger? We are currently using these sensors and are looking into replacing some datalogger boxes.

Hi Shannon and Sara,
Thanks for taking a look at this. I actually JUST fixed it, and I’m not sure what I did correctly?
Nothing I did was able to wake the modem, and like Sara said, it wasn’t receiving power. I was in the midst of taking those photos you request Shannon, and I think just unplugging everything and plugging it back in fixed it……[Read more]

Thanks. Temperature coefficients, compensations – that’s interesting. I have the sensor sitting in a bucket of stream water right now – should see more rapid changes in temperature. I’ve a note into the METER Co.

I did some blog posts in 2016 with a number of depth sensors that quoted an error for a very wide temperature compensation. They where the Insitu LT500 (best), Keller Nanolevel, Keller Acculevel, Keller Level gage (worst).
I setup a situation with the depth sensors in a jar of water (low depth) with a good solar aspect to test how well they met…[Read more]
