We have a deep canyon location that may or may not have cellular data coverage for real time data transfer to MMW site. I am wondering if anyone has done a 900MHZ radio with a Mayfly data logger point to point (bottom of canyon to top of a canyon) and then connected to a cellular network for almost real time data uploads? We will have a line of…[Read more]

I was trying to set up a secure connection to our AWS IoT server by using this example:
https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/building-an-aws-iot-core-device-using-aws-serverless-and-an-esp32/
The first big difference is that I’m using the SIMComSIM7080 code (ie starting from DRWI_SIM7080LTE.ino) to connect to the internet instead of a general…[Read more]

Thanks @neilh20, I think I needed to run
pio pkg install
. Now that I have done that – the libraries do indeed clone then install automatically when I update the .ini file.I’m still not sure I fully appreciate the power of the .ini file and pio commands…but that will come with time I guess.
Git is a critical part of my daily work-life, and…[Read more]

What Mayfly board version are you using? The ClariVue10 seems to only work reliably with the Mayfly v1.1 RevB since it produces the most stable 12 volt output. Also, we’ve found that at room temperature the ClariVue needs about 8 seconds after the switched power is applied before it will respond to any commands, and then needs another 9 s…[Read more]

Hello everyone,
I’m having a very similar problem to what James had been experiencing in this forum post. I’ve recently installed 3 Clarivue10 Turbidity sensors in stream, but only one of them (LYHWR005) works reliably. The other two (LYHWR004 and LYHWR006) typically only work for several hours a day.
I believe the problem is related to the…[Read more]

@ldecicco congrats on trying the platformio – it has a lot of professional capability, but like anything – getting in a fancy plane(!) there are lots of bells and whistles that can go off.
For “new” libs there are at least two ways to work with them, a) put the full path to them under libdeps
I find a…[Read more]

I’ve been combing through the forum looking for a solution to this:
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I am using the EnviroDIY 4g LTE Bee adaptor board and a DigiX bee board. From other posts, I learned that my RSSI light is not on, meaning I do not have cellular service. However, I am not in an area where…[Read more]
