Yes, on all those dependencies. I’ve ordered but haven’t received the Mayfly 1.1. I need to choose the sampling interval and battery mAh for the system so that we can get the most data over the deployment period with plenty of spare power capacity to ensure data collection at the end of deployment, which is the most important.
I have all the mA…[Read more]

We’ve release several different Mayfly Data Logger hardware versions in the past few years, so I’d need to know which version you’re using. I’m assuming a v1.0 or 1.1 since you mentioned deactivating the LEDs using the dip switches. But it also depends on the sampling interval you’re planning to use (time between measurements when the May…[Read more]

I need to calculate the expected power consumption for a 10 month deployment, fully battery powered (no solar). Where can I find specs on the Mayfly power consumption? I realize that it will vary depending on dip switch settings (as Shannon mentioned above), so data to calculate power consumption based on their settings would be amazing.
Thanks – Dawn

I wonder if anybody has looked at using transmission via Swarm.space M138 , https://swarm.space/swarm-m138-modem/
There is a kit available through sparkfun https://www.sparkfun.com/products/19236 $150
and it looks like its going to be fairly low cost annual subscription of $60/month with a tight coupling of 750messages per month. Since its…[Read more]

@mbarney, thanks for the settings. What was the sim supplier that you used – a Verizon direct, or an MNVO like REVX.
I did get an email earlier this week from SimCom that there 7080G was now certified by Verizon, so good to know it works 🙂
Matt Barney replied to the topic LTEBee on Verizon? in the forum Mayfly Data Logger 2 years, 2 months ago
The SIMCom 7080G modem chip upon which the EnviroDIY LTE Bee is built did not have Verizon certification until early August. Once they notified me, I asked SIMCom support what APN setting to use for Verizon, and this was their response:

Hi James; thank you for providing this input and emphasizing the challenges of using turbidity as an absolute measure of a physical property. This issue has been explored and reported on in the past, but Rob […]

Fiona, I just joined the forum with the same question. Did the Whitebox T1 work for you (or anyone else out there)?
