We are having issues with the board working with 115200 serial baud rate. Any baud rate slower than 115200 works. The code appears to not keep up and after the first received character the remaining characters get corrupted. I suspect the UART hardware buffer is not getting service quickly enough. I would like to change out the crystal on the…[Read more]

John,
If you’ve created a MonMW account then log in to that account, go to the Bushkill site (https://monitormywatershed.org/sites/ULBC3S/), and click the “Follow” box in the upper right corner of the site page (circled in red on attached). That should allow you to receive updates if/when the station stops transmitting. Please let us know if y…[Read more]

Greetings,
I assist with the regular upkeep of a site (Bushkill Creek at Bushkill Drive (ULBC3S)) and would like to get an alert set up that will notify me if it does not transmit data for a specific amount of time. I have an account in MMW, and with EnviroDIY, but cannot find any settings that will enable this.
Thank you,
John

Fiona, I am using a system I designed to suspend my CTD sensor one foot above the bottom of a pond by attaching the sensor to a float which is anchored to a concrete block (see attached photo).
If you have a mending plate on the back of your logger box you can use a long hose clamp to attach it to the dock.

I’m planning a new modbus wingboard and posted about it here, which also has some history.

I’m planning an open source review of the schematic next week sometime after July 5th

The polarity of your battery pack is backwards, which is why your board was damaged. We mention the caution about battery polarity in multiple places on this website, and also in the EnviroDIY Monitoring Station Manual, and specifically in Section 6.1 (https://www.envirodiy.org/knowledge-base/building-an-envirodiy-monitoring-station/). I’m a…[Read more]
