I created an account on Monitor My Watershed and selected my organization “Mississippi Watershed Management Organization”. I have deployed a rain gauge and set up the site “SAVPW-RG” but on the second line of the site page after Organization it says “I am currently unaffiliated with and organization.” How do I get my organization to populate that line? I’ve selected my organization in ‘Edit Profile Information’ but it’s still not showing up on the “SAVPW-RG” site page.
I also set up an account for my organization and the sites registered under that account do have “Mississippi Watershed Management Organization” listed under the Organization line of the site page as you can see for this site, “Mensing“.

@brianjastram, I want to make sure I’m understanding the problem before I post this as an issue on GitHub. Did you set up your personal account and the organizational account on Monitor My Watershed at roughly the same time? What I’m really asking is: did both accounts get created after the mid-December release that moved Monitor My Watershed to Amazon Web Services?
If you set up the organizational account before the release and the personal account after, that might give the MonitorMW development team an idea of where to start troubleshooting. Likewise, if both accounts were created after the release, that might give them a different clue.
I tried to replicate the issue on my personal account but encountered a server error so didn’t get very far.

@heather, Thanks for checking.
Both accounts were set up before the mid-December release. The personal account was around 8/13/19 and the organizational account was around 10/3/19.

Thanks for that information. Next question: was the site that’s not displaying your affiliation (SAVPW-RG) created after mid-December? If it was created before the release, did the affiliation used to appear correctly and is now defaulting to “currently unaffiliated”?

The site (SAVPW-RG) was not created after mid-December. It was created closer to that Aug. 2019 date.

@brianjastram, our partners at LimnoTech believe they have resolved the affiliation issue for you. I’m adding an excerpt here for the record; please see GitHub issue #562 for the full explanation.
This site’s affiliation should be resolved. […] The short term fix is to make sure the user is affiliated with an organization, then edit the site record and select the same user again for ‘deployment by’. That will force the site organization field to update.
