Hi all,
I have just installed six sites which seem to be calling in reasonably reliably. The data is showing for each measurement but only EnviroDIY sensors are show a sparkline and are able to be examined in TSA. I can download a dataset from each site and analyse it in excel but would like for the community to be able to see data in TSA.
I n…[Read more]

@shicks Aaaah, sorry to hear that. Hopefully the fix won’t be too bad.
Thanks for posting that code so quickly! I didn’t have time to look at it until today. I had an older version of Modular Sensors downloaded and so I tried running it with the code you sent and with a few edits in order to get it logging to thingspeak, it was practically plug…[Read more]

I added a sketch called “DRWI_sim7080LTE.ino” to our Github repository. You can find it here https://github.com/EnviroDIY/ModularSensors/tree/master/examples/DRWI_sim7080LTE along with a brief summary.
We’re still working out the bugs in the libraries that was cause by an update to an external library that is included in our bundled files (the…[Read more]

I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with a sensor library file that is currently causing an error when users compile any sketches using ModularSensors. Sara and I worked on it this afternoon and will hopefully have it resolved soon. In the meantime, I’m working on an instructional page for the sim7080 module as well as posting example s…[Read more]

I am experiencing a similar issue that may be related, although without the RTC issue…
- Built with Modular sensors v0.30.0
- Data is saved to SD card when connected to computer via cable. RTC time is correct (or close enough)
- If I disconnect the board from the computer it fails to wake up or log any data to the SD card
- Battery voltage is…

Hey @shicks. Thanks for the lightning fast response.
That worked! Just had to download it from the link you sent.
Really excited to start working with the v1.0! Thank you all for your great hardware, communication, documentation, and quick responses!

The Mayfly v1.0 boards use a new USB interface chip called the CP2102 instead of the old FT232RL that was found on earlier Mayfly boards. When you first connect it to your computer, your operating system should recognize it and install the necessary drivers. I connected each new Mayfly to 3 different computers (2 PCs and one Mac) before s…[Read more]

Hi there! I recently purchased some Mayfly v1.0’s and was working to get them set up. I’m using Atom, alongside PlatformIO.
I’m trying to get some basic Hello world code running on the Mayfly, but I’m having some issues connecting to them, specifically connecting to the serial ports. The –port selection is blank, and highlighted blue (Pictures…[Read more]

For my fork https://github.com/neilh10/ModularSensors/releases/tag/v0.30.0.release1_211023
I got the WiFi S6 communicating reliably, and its been testing for over a couple of weeks.
It seems on going to sleep, it really wasn’t doing what was necessary to be able to sleep. It seemed to be leaving TCP/IP links setup. Which then depending on network…[Read more] -

The same Hologram SIM cards we’ve been using for the past year in the Digi boards work just fine in the new EnviroDIY LTE boards.
The new EnviroDIY LTE bee works in the old Mayfly 0.5b boards, and no LTEbee adapter is needed. The LTEbee adapter is only needed when using Digi boards with Mayfly 0.5b boards.
Digi LTE CAT M1 boards work directly…[Read more]

I have a couple of related questions as we prepare to integrate v1.0 boards into our new deployments, while also keeping our existing 0.5b installations operating for as long as possible.
- Will Hologram SIMs work with the new EnviroDIY LTE Bee modem? I recall seeing a discussion that it was under test, but can’t seem to find that now.

Just starting a discussion on the new Mayfly 1.0 compatibility.
Seems like, the core interfaces and using Digi LTE CAT-M1 should be compatible, (possibly requiring the LTE Adapter board)providing the following port bits on Mayfly 0.5b Digital Header J4 (now H2 on Mayfly1.0) are not used.
D12 (now 12V_Sw) D23 (now V_BATT)
D20 (now X3) D21 (now…[Read more] - Load More
