thanks – neilh01@wllw.net. Great to see them on Amazon. Congrats a big milestone I’m sure.
I was discussing it with a Sonoma State Uni project, and they searched amazon found them and ordered the new boards. […] -

Nope, it’s a different issue related to the current-limiting circuitry in another part of the board, so a cap won’t help.

OK. There was something on another thread about adding a capacitor to handle the inrush on the motor. Would this be the workaround?

We’ll eventually publish the BOM when I get a chance. I’ve been doing sensor station maintenance and installation most of my time for the past couple weeks, along with getting all the products to Amazon and ready […]

Just a little FYI, but the wiper on the Yosemitech Y511A sometimes causes issues if you’re powering the sensor directly from the Mayfly 1.0 revA3 (current release) onboard 12v boost regulator. I’ve come up with a […]

Hey,
I’m trying to connect mkr458 with an Y511 sensor, I have followed the instrutions here, and tried different things to connect. Nonetheless, I get an “echo” of the “Raw request”. I think it’s a delay issue. Output and code attached.

Just wondering, will you be putting out the BOM with parts number?, in a location like https://github.com/EnviroDIY/EnviroDIY_Mayfly_Logger/tree/master/hardware. While I appreciate the overview on the new Mayfly, […]

We think we’ve got it resolved (thanks @ptomasula!).
The main MMW site is back up and data looks to be flowing to the database server again.
We’re rebuilding the tsa_catalog now, so there might be some short term glitches with interactions to TSA capabilities and sparkline plots.
Unfortunately, some data was lost last night, before were able to…[Read more]

Hi All,
The Monitor My Watershed development team is working on a fix for today’s error with accessing any site information or data. It started last night and is connected to an issue that surfaced early this summer.
We implemented a short-term fix, but that’s not sticking.
We know what the long-term fix is, but it’s a bit more complicated to…[Read more]

Kia ora Whanau (Hi friends),
I recently presented at the INTECOL Wetlands/Freshwater Science conference on an IoT Sensor Network I’m looking to develop using Mayflies. Here’s a link to the presentation which might be of interest to some of you:
Happy to answer any questions.

Has anybody seen a Mayfly freeze or got any thoughts on debugging it when frozen, or used the JTAG/Mayfly.
I’ve got an occurrence of a Mayfly frozen, and its about the 4th captured occurrence of it.
In each of the 4 cases I’ve had the FTDI connector on it, with the terminal capture program providing a time stamp, and latest is:[2021-10-13…[Read more]

Shannon,
We had been using the EnviroDIY Libraries as well as libraries contained within the IDE itself. Our code uses sections of the sample logger sketch, but have been built out a bit to combine possible analog sensors as well as communicate with Xbee.
I’d be happy to share with you – it’s not super long and you’ll see that it is pretty…[Read more]

Always a lot of work getting a new revision out and running compatibility tests. I always admired the way
Paul Stoffregen of PRJC created a fishbowl for the releases, one I remember with the Teensy had a process of managing/advertising the release and being clear about it being in beta https://forum.pjrc.com/threads/27689-Teensy-LC-Beta-Testing -

I have everything I need to build out a system using the Mayfly and Atlas Scientific sensors, but I am stuck on how to integrate the Atlas Scientific code from menu a la carte into DRWI LTE. An electrical engineering volunteer created a shield that allows us to connect four sensors on their own electrically isolated carrier boards to the…[Read more]
