Hi Cesar,
We (mostly me and @aufdenkampe, I think) have been purchasing them directly from Yosemitech because they are so darn cost-effective without compromising quality. Currently they are subject to the new 25% “Trump Tariff,” but they are still proving to be cost effective. Note that to use these sensors, the Mayfly needs a “wing” to boost…[Read more]

Hi
I’m running into a low power issue with the sensors/RS485 turned off.
There is a backfeed going on, which leaves SW_3.3V at about 2V and LED3 comes on.I think @aufdenkampe gave me a hint of this and described a solution

Hi Neil,
I spent the day outside yesterday, adding more sensors to two existing stations, which included some RS485 sensors. I’ll share how I did it and that will hopefully help you along!
The stations are: https://data.envirodiy.org/sites/WSP01/ and

Hi, I’m a newbie to Mayfly and looking for any hints on setting up an environment.
I’m planning the software on how to do a low power RS485 with logging/SD and sending to the internet (wifi then …) … solar powered of course … which means low power needs to be builtin from the start.
I’ve got my RS485wing board and proven the Pololu +12V b…[Read more]

HI Beth,
many thanks for the pointers and for @aufdenkampe system level parts.
I haven’t used the Mayfly before though I got Mayfly 0.4 and chatted with Shannon when she was in San Francisco.
I’m building a test capability for interfacing to Keller Nanolevel depth sensor – RS485/Wingboard/Mayfly 0.5b.
If I can juggle it, and pull together a…[Read more] -

Also, @aufdenkampe has a list of the components he has compiled for his work group. It’s informal not a bill of materials, but it may help you along (it has definitely helped me): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x87AHmmCWmsgMVpbeEhw9iZm5iHPiUoJPuaUpzHsxW0/edit?usp=sharing
Do I understand correctly that you haven’t used a Mayfly for your…[Read more]

Hello @aufdenkampe,
Great to hear you are doing a power shield with capability to deliver to the EnviroDIY water quality data portal.
There hasn’t been a hw solution yet that I liked, that so I haven’t done anything with the Arduino libs. Maybe that will change.:)
I’m planning on doing a poster at…[Read more] -

Hello @aufdenkampe
I was just wondering, for the Modbus/Keller Acculevel, for field deployment what you are doing for powering/mechanical and pushing to your intranet. Perhaps this is a topic by itself, be interested to discuss as I’m developing some circuits for same 🙂
