Thank you very much for your detailed response and suggestions! I’ll get my hands on an antenna and go from there.

Thanks for the quick response Shannon,
I’ll give that APN a try, but it seems more likely that the antenna is the issue. I was under the impression that these modules had built in antennas that would work in areas with high signal strength. Is this incorrect? Do you have antenna suggestions?

Greetings,
I am struggling to post data to MMW with a Digi Xbee 3 cell module (https://www.digi.com/products/embedded-systems/cellular-modems/xbee3-cellular-lte-m-nb-iot#partnumbers) and am looking for suggestions.
I have successfully used the “Logging_to_MMW” to post data with a Xbee WiFi module, but when I switch over to the cell module, I…[Read more]

Thanks for the responses! Unfortunately, I am still having trouble posting data to the web. I had this working before the switch to Limnotech, so I’m wondering if there are some other changes that I’m unaware of that could be causing the problem.
I’m attempting to post data using the “logging_to_EnviroDIY” sketch on GitHub (after updating the…[Read more]

Greetings,
I understand that recently the data.envirodiy.org database was transferred from Utah State University to Limnotech. I’m guessing that this had an impact on the destination IP address that I need to put into my wifi xbee module?
Did the IP address change? What is it?
Many many thanks!

Will I fry my shiny new v.5 Mayfly if I power it with more than 12V? The specs indicate 4-12, but during the day my battery voltage often tops out around 14 or so. Will this be a problem?
Thanks!

Hi Steve,
Can you provide a little bit of example code that demonstrates how to put the MCU to sleep?
Thanks

Yes, we have two boards and both showed the same behavior. We got one working yesterday — still fooling around with the other one.
Thanks for the helpful posts!

We were just about to post the same question. Any insight would be excellent.
Thanks

Great! Looking forward to getting my hands on a couple of these.
A basic question about power:
Ideally, we would like to use 12V ~7aH AGM lead acid batteries to power the Mayfly instead of the 3.7V LiPo. We are planning to use the Mayfly for a pretty power intensive sapflux installation that requires small heaters to be powered directly off…[Read more] -

Any update on Mayfly availability? Thanks!

And a second request for update…desperate to get my hands on one (or more)…

We’re still waiting for the first big manufacturing run to get delivered. Once it does, we’ll get it to the distributor as soon as we can. In the meantime, we’ve been working on documentation and instructions, so look for postings that info on this site early next week.

On the top of the board near the FTDI header there’s an unpopulated 2-pin header for an Aux 5v input. Most people won’t use it, but I put it there for the experienced users who want the flexibility of different power options. I’ve been powering several boards like that lately, I’ll try to write about it on the Hardware section of the support…[Read more]
