For clarification, 9 volts is stable – which requires de-soldering the 12 volt bridge and re-soldering the 9 volt bridge correct ? In the event all 3 soldering points are connected by accident what will the results be? Is there voltage protection or will it burn out the board?

Again, there are readings sometimes throughout the day, but then not. So I’m not sure what is going on here.

Hello,
We installed the new v.1.1 boards with a CTD sensor and also added the Clarivue Turbidity sensor. On the MMW platform it shows the turbidity sensor as reporting with a green background for the graph display, but the readings show as -9999.99 (which usually means its an error). Though when a large rainstorm comes through, it does report…[Read more]

Hello,
I have some questions on the functionality of the board with the Clarivue 10 Turbidity sensor. There have been some threads and posts that the 1.1 RevB boards can power the sensor and take readings, but when trying to use the sensor, I have been getting a reading of -9999.
I am using the six-screw terminal block for the bare wires, and a…[Read more]

Did you update the tokens (aka the UUID)? Sometimes that needs to be done when you move it. I find it easier just in general to reprogram it for a new location.

Out of curiosity, people who use the Mayfly data loggers, how frequently do you take down the station (or take out the sensors) during the winter to prevent damage to the sensors? Or if there are any methods or procedures you take, as far as preventative measures, during winter to protect the systems from getting damaged. We worry about general…[Read more]

I seem to be having some problems with a Mayfly ver 0.5b data logger. It has not recorded data since October 29th, nor has it connected to the cellular network since that day. I believe it is the cellular card on the board, but wanted to inquire about functionality because I cannot find documentation on the meaning of the LED indicators. When the…[Read more]

What was the solution to the problem? We are having trouble with our location dot still being gray. It is clearly collecting data but is not displaying the numbers below the graph under last observation . @shicks

Hi Shannon,
Thank you for the information. I just wanted to clarify something mentioned that may be a roadblock with installing these turbidity sensors. The boards we are using are the Mayfly Data Logger v0.5b (As indicated on the back of the board- pic attached). These will not be able to power the ClariVUE 10, as they only have a maximum…[Read more]

Hello EnviroDIY Mayfly community,
I’ve watched many of the videos that are provided by the Stroud Center. Though some information (which I’m sure will be added in the updated manual) do not necessarily go in-depth about the turbidity sensor (ClariVUE 10) since it is an add-on sensor. So here is some information if you are in need of info on the…[Read more] -
