Hi @sd80808. These status updates don’t go out in the daily or weekly email digest, so unless people stop by the site regularly they’re easy to miss. Since you haven’t gotten a response to your question yet, I’d recommend you repost it in one of the forums (https://envirodiy.org/forums/) or groups (https://envirodiy.org/groups/).

Are there any plans for Stroud to offer another virtual training for building and programming the Mayfly Station?
Thanks! -
The Stroud Center will be offering another virtual workshop November 10, 11, and 12. The workshop will be organized and sponsored by the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc (CUAHSI). Keep an eye on this page for the announcement sometime soon: https://www.cuahsi.org/education/training/training-and-workshops/
Additionally, the Stroud Center will soon be sharing video from the virtual EnviroDIY workshop we gave in May 2020. Stay tuned for more details coming soon on EnviroDIY.org/blogs.

Welcome to EnviroDIY! Last I heard, international sales were still problematic but I’m going to refer you to @shicks for the latest information as she handles (among many things!) the equipment merchandising.

Something I forgot to mention: the activity within an EnviroDIY group is separate from the “blog” area of website. Blog posts are like news articles that get featured on the homepage. They need to be approved by a site admin before they are published. To share with just your own group, make sure you start on your group homepage and write either a…[Read more]

Welcome, Tom! Citizen science is a really exciting way to engage students. Did you know that EnviroDIY is part of the WikiWatershed toolkit? You might find additional tools there that you can use with your students: https://wikiwatershed.org/

Thank you Heather! We are actually playing with that tool in the office right now! It’s a very interesting app that I think our students and teachers are going to really like. Just getting up to speed with the mechanics of it right now.
