Hi All. A colleague of mine was using TSV to compare conductivity values across two separate sites. It appears there may be a bug when graphing data from two sites. Instead of using the same scale the data are graphed in two separate scales. See attached screenshot.

Jake Lemon started the topic Deleting MMW Sites in the forum Monitor My Watershed 2 years, 11 months ago
Hi All. We have a couple sites where we we updated the units and order of the parameters. To do this, we had to create new MMW sites. I’m just getting around to deleting the old MMW sites and I’m getting a server error when doing so. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Anthony. Will the cache-busting code negate the need for MMW users to clear their cache to view sparklines? And if so, do you have an estimate on when you’ll be doing the next update? I’m debated whether to suggest to our volunteers/partners that they clear their cache in order to view sparklines.
Thanks!

Hi Zach. Did you ever make any progress with this? We have partners that would like to be able to do the same thing.

What a bummer Christa! I’m pretty sure my damage was a case of vandalism as well. The cut seems too clean to be critter related. The station was on private property but there is public access a quarter mile downstream. I wasn’t previously concerned about vandalism here though. I’m unsure how to mitigate that risk moving forward. Signage? Trail cams?

Hi All,
I recently had a station where the sensor cables was completely severed right above the sensor. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. I’ve attached a few photos. I’m unsure if I’m dealing with vandalism or critter damage. Probably hard to tell from photos but if anyone has any relevant experience that might…[Read more]

Jake Lemon started the topic dBm Threshold for Mayfly Connectivity in the forum Mayfly Data Logger 4 years, 9 months ago
Hi All. I was playing around with measuring LTE signal strength and directionality with a cell phone yesterday. I’m wondering if anyone has a sense of the dBm threshold where the LTE modem will connect and upload data to MMW?
The limitation of these apps is that you can only measure the signal strength for your carrier.

I’m curious, were those LTE XBee3’s deployed in the field, worked properly then at some point stopped connecting to the internet? Or did you receive them and realize they wouldn’t connect upon initial testing? Just wanting to understand if this is something I need to watch out for with our LTE stations we’ve already deployed.
Thanks

The SD card did have data. I left the SD card in long enough to complete one measurement. Attached. I then removed the SD card and took it home to look at the data, but left the station running without an SD card because I didn’t have a backup on me at the time.

Jake Lemon started the topic Uploading Data to MMW in the forum Monitor My Watershed 4 years, 11 months ago
Hi All,
I’m uploading data to MMW and wanted to share some observations.
1. Larger files will not upload successfully. It seems like the sweet spot is 11-13 days of 5-minute interval data for CTD/Turb Mayfly Configurations.
2. The data is sometimes visible on Time Series Analyst after upload and sometimes it is not. I can’t figure out what…[Read more] -

Hi All,
Just following up on this. Shannon and I have exchanged emails off of the forum about setting up the Mayfly to work with the Yosemitech Sensor. Shannon, I’m curious as to the status of this?
Thanks,
Jake

Hi All,
I have a station deployed in a location with marginal cell coverage via AT&T. Verizon seems to be have better coverage. Can we update the Mayfly to send data through the Verizon network?
Thanks,

Jake Lemon started the topic Voltage Threshold for Data Upload Through Cell Network in the forum Mayfly Data Logger 5 years, 2 months ago
Hi There,
I have a couple stations that we deployed in forested areas. After a couple weeks the battery voltage settled at around 3.7v, dropping below that at times and rising above at times. When the voltage drops below 3.7v our logger stops sending data through the cell network. Would it be possible to decrease the threshold and see if we can…[Read more]

In my latest thread, I decided to take the plunge and ordered the Xbee components necessary to test my customized telemetry publishing script on a spare Mayfly board, to not interfere with my group’s existing stations. Setting up a PHP server seems easy enough, just need to figure out how to handle the data it posts.
Thanks Zach!
