Thank you for the quick response, we are looking forward to the new modbus adater. Meanwhile, we made some quick changes to existing wingboards to power the Y-551A from the 12v available on the V1.1 rev B, with good results. One station is back to normal and the other should be as soon as the updated wingboard is installed. Thanks!

(I am placing this comment here rather than start a new topic because of similarities)
We have two stations that developed the same problem in August of 2023. One station is here: https://monitormywatershed.org/sites/GVWA%20107/
Both were V1.0 Mayfly with the LTE Bee, Hydros21 CTD and Yosemitech 511-a Turbidity sensors with the Modbus-Mafly-Wing…[Read more]

Shannon, thank you. I will keep it at 500 mA, while increasing the solar panel wattage to provide more hours of charging at 500 mA.

Hi,
What is the maximum recommended amps from a 6 volt solar panel to the V 1.1 board? Is this different for previous boards? There are two solar inputs–are these the same input but different connectors?
Thanks

James,
Could you solder the jumper on the old version wing board that would otherwise be under the step up board? And get 12 volt from the new Mayfly? I am not qualified to make any recommendations, but since 12 volt is on the new Mayfly, you should be able to power the Y511 that way.

Hi,
I am checking the calibration on several new Hydros21. I don’t see how to calibrate the sensors themselves, so it would be useful to display (at the data portal) a calculated variable for the Hydros21 in addition to the specific conductance coming from the sensor. Calculating the variable in the logger code looks doable to me thanks to t…[Read more]

Hi Shannon,
Is there a topic describing changes from Mayfly V1.0 to V1.1? If not, can you describe?
Thanks,
Mike

OK. There was something on another thread about adding a capacitor to handle the inrush on the motor. Would this be the workaround?

Great work! Cannot wait to get some of the wipered turbidity sensors in the field.
