Yup, hacking together my own cable is how I found it.

Connector jp4 has the labels for scl and sda reversed on my board, V 0.4. Electrical connectivity is reversed from the labels on the nearby bar of connectors and from the labels on the schematic.

Does anyone know when the Mayfly will be available again on Amazon? Is Amazon the only source?

Bert Rubash replied to the topic 5-volt boost circuit current capacity in the forum Mayfly Data Logger 7 years, 12 months ago
I see that the NCP1402 chip on the board is called a 200ma boost chip, so I assume that answers my question.

How big a load can the 5-volt boost circuit handle?

Thanks. Just what I needed to know.

I notice in the MayFly schematic near the diode for the “v_solar” input a “20V-1A” note. The MCP73831 charge management controller data sheet lists 6 volts as the upper limit for Vdd. I assume I need to pre-regulate solar power down to 5 or 6 volts; is that correct? What does the “20V-1A” note mean?

Thanks, I’ll avoid plugging in two LIPO batteries.

I have a related question. Why should I not plug two LIPO batteries to the battery jacks. Is it because I would risk too much charging current? If I refrain from charging, wouldn’t having two batteries plugged in simply extend operating time?
