New for June 2024: Includes 2 Grove cables (20cm long).
This is a 2-pack of custom Multipurpose 6-pin screw terminal Grove adapter boards, handy for connecting sensors with bare wires to Grove terminals. It features a 6-pin screw terminal block to connect the following pins: two power, two data, and two ground terminals). Includes 2 Grove cables (20cm long). Optional resistors for the resistor-divider feature are not included.
Solder Jumpers on the back of the board allow for configuring to use in 3 different ways.
Default setting is for the two screw terminal signal pins (S1 and S2) to connect to the Grove jack pins (D1 and D2) in standard fashion, meaning S1 is connected to D1, and S2 is connected to D2.
Or you can configure screw terminals S1 and S2 to both connect to the same Grove pin (D2) by adjusting the middle solder jumper. This could be useful if you have 2 SDI-12 sensors (with bare leads) that you want to connect to the Mayfly pin 7. You’ll first need to change the SDI-12 address of the sensors to different addresses so there’s no conflict. Then you can connect both sensors to the screw terminal board, and the data lines of both sensors will now be connected to the single Mayfly data pin.
Or you can use this board to create a resistor-divider to lower an analog voltage for measurement. For example, if you want to measure a 5v analog signal safely with a Mayfly Data Logger, you have to lower it because 3.3v is the maximum ADC input voltage. Simply add 2 (or 4) identical resistors (usually 10K ohms) and set the solder jumpers to the Res-Div setting. You’ll now be measuring half of the voltage. Adjust the resistor value ratio if you want to measure even higher voltage.
