Does anyone know when the Mayfly will be available again on Amazon? Is Amazon the only source?

The kits are still in stock, and the single boards should be in stock later this week. More were sent to Amazon last week but their inventory processing has been slowed because of the holidays.

Thanks. It is the single boards that I want so I should soon be able to order.

Are the Mayfly prototyping shields shown on the accessories page available for purchase? If so, where? I did not see them on Amazon.

I’m hoping to have the protoshields listed on Amazon by the end of January.

In case anyone checks this thread after looking for Mayfly boards on Amazon, we are currently sold out of boards and starter kits. More boards are currently being made, and we hope to have a large number of them back in stock on Amazon in February.

Thanks

I am still awaiting the shipment of the latest order from the manufacturer. They had a 3-week holiday last month that put their production almost a month behind schedule. I also had do to an extra round of prototype testing in January because we’ve added and changed a few things on the new v0.5 board. Once I get the new boards, I thoroughly test and program each one, then box them up as either bare boards or kits, and ship them to Amazon for fulfillment, which will hopefully be later in February. Amazon is our only distributor right now, but we are still investigating other options for international sales.

Hello I’m a current student working on a class project and am trying to get a hold of a mayfly board. I know your saying late February, but given that we only have another week before march I was hoping for another update… I realize it’s going to take sometime, but I was wondering if you’ll be sending out an email or notification once your getting ready to send them to amazon?

For anyone wanting an update on the Mayfly availability, the boards arrived at my office last week from the manufacturer, and after thorough testing of each one, I sent off the first shipment of them to Amazon. Once Amazon has incorporated them into their fulfillment system, the product listings will show that they are in stock and can then be purchased. In the meantime, I’ll be working on updating the documentation on this site to include information about the new features and specifications of this version (v0.5).

We’ve been busy getting the Mayfly and starter kits back in stock, so now that they’ll be online any day now, we can work towards getting the proto boards listed, so look for those in early April.

The boards are $60. They were in stock last week, but sold out very quickly. We are working to get more inventory soon.

Any estimate when mayfly proto boards will be available?

Is there any way to open the Amazon listing to accept backorders? I have seen other listings that state “out of stock; order now and we will ship when we receive more inventory”. I would happily place the loggers on order so that I reserve my place in line and ensure I receive the loggers as soon as possible. The number of backorders may also inform your acquisition process; you’ll have a better sense of the number of loggers you need to buy to satisfy existing and future demand. Thanks!

Unfortunately the way Amazon does our item fulfillment, their system won’t allow backorders, and they only take orders when the item is in stock and physically in their warehouse. Sometimes they are very quick to get the item online and available, but other times it takes them up to two weeks to make our items available after I’ve shipped them.
The good news is that a few more starter kits are currently back in stock right now, and I just received more boards from the manufacturer yesterday. I will be trying to get them packaged and back to Amazon as soon as possible.
We’re also hoping to get the accessories like the proto-shield in stock next week too.

It appears that if you select the “New (1) from $90.00” link on the Amazon listing, it may let you place a backorder. This may be a fluke since the listing seems to disappear when the stock runs out.

Amazon shuffles the products between warehouses sometimes, and they list the items as “backordered” while they are in transit and unavailable for immediate purchase. They will show up as “available” when they’ve reached their new warehouse. Normally this kind of stuff isn’t apparent if there’s sufficient stock of the items, but it’ll show up at times like this when there are only 2 of the starter kits left.
Protoshields have been shipped to Amazon and should appear online maybe this weekend. I’ll try to get some more boards and kits to Amazon, but I’ve been out of the office most of the past month with travel and field work, since this is the prime season for deploying dataloggers and stream sensors.

I just ordered two Mayfly boards so they seem to be in stock. I could not find the protoshields however. Are they in stock?

The protoboards went to Amazon almost 2 weeks ago, even ahead of the Mayfly boards, which got restocked online yesterday, so I think the protoboards should be available very soon, possibly today. Amazon used to get our inventory online very quickly last year, but lately they have been taking over a week or two to get products available after receiving them.
The protoboard listing can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5NP42G

The protoboards are now available on Amazon, via the URL I posted above. The Mayfly boards and the protoboards are selling fast, but we have a really big order of boards and accessories being assembled right now, so I hope to have the Amazon storefront fully stocked soon.

For anyone wondering about current Mayfly availability, I just received the shipment from the manufacturer today. I’ll be working to get them to Amazon by the end of the week. I sent in a bunch more of the protoshields today, next I’ll be sending lots of both the bare Mayfly boards and the starter kits.
